Englishtown Borough Mayor Daniel Francisco says he's been inundated with interest from other officials throughout the state after the borough council passed a first-of-its-kind resolution last week rebating $150 of the state's $200 application fee for concealed carry permits, and he expects more communities will soon follow suit.

Cam has the details on the Senate Finance Committee's language repealing the NFA requirements for short-barreled rifles, shotguns, and "any other weapons," as well as a conversation with Grassroots NC's Paul Valone on the prospects of turning North Carolina's permitless carry bill into law.

Friday is slated to be the last day of this year's legislative session in Rhode Island. It's also the day the full Senate is expected to vote on an "assault weapons" ban; one that, at the moment, differs from the version passed by the House. Cam details the potential scenarios for the bill, while also taking a look at the gun control bills that failed to become law in New York this year.
