RADIO THULE 1.2.25: Germany and the Nordic countries during World War II

The latest episode of Nordisk Radio's pan-Nordic podcast Radio Thule discusses the history and relationships between the different Nordic countries during the fiery wars of World War II. One topic touched upon is whether the staff believe that the Danish resistance fighters who fought against Germany's invasion of the country can be blamed, for example, or whether they were simply acting on their own instincts.

The often poor treatment of SS volunteers after the war is also discussed, despite the fact that in many cases they enlisted with government approval. Among many other historical events, the Allied invasion and occupation of Iceland also appears. Something that is considered hypocritical since in the case of the Allies it is said to have been a “necessary evil” while such measures are condemned in other cases.
