A LITTLE OVER A century ago, a book entitled Personal Beauty and Racial Betterment was published. The book is very rare today. It was written in 1920, during that hopeful time when a strong and mostly-healthy America was awakening to the scientific truths about race and the infinite possibilities of racial progress. Knight Dunlap, the author, was a professor of experimental psychology at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, and a substantial portion of his book was delivered by him as a lecture at Randolph-Macon College, in Lynchburg, Virginia, not too far from where I used to live. Despite some faults, the book is insightful and inspiring.

TODAY we present — for the first time in audio form, using the author’s own voice as training and programming parameters for an AI instance — Dr. Revilo Oliver’s review of William Gayley Simpson’s great book Which Way Western Man. This review of one of the greatest books of the 20th century is itself a magnificent work, as is to be expected from Dr. Oliver. Every racial-nationalist, indeed every responsible man, should read and hear it. It deserves to be part of the American Dissident Voices canon of audio works, and part of our National Alliance Radio Network.

Dr. Oliver begins with a survey of other noted men who, like William Simpson, left the ministry and attempted to expose the dangers and falsehoods of Christianity. In the following two parts of this series, Dr. Oliver will show us how Mr. Simpson’s book, and his story, and his revolutionary conclusions, are vastly different from theirs.

Dr. Oliver left off last week with a discussion of five noteworthy Christians who left the church, and continues part 2 with an examination of the persistence of the cultural residue of Christianity among those who falsely believe they have liberated themselves from it.

Dr. Oliver begins part 3 with a succinct look at the history of Christianity — and the tremendous perils which it poses for the future of our race. These are some of the most important ideas you will ever hear in your life.

LESS THAN THREE months ago, in mid-January 2025, 59-year-old Robert Procious was found dead — frozen to death — in his home just a few miles from mine, in the nearby city of Johnstown, Pennsylvania. Authorities discovered his body on January 24th during a welfare check and determined he had been dead for approximately a week. The Cambria County coroner, Jeff Lees, ruled that Mr. Procious died from hypothermia, classifying the death as accidental.

I do strive to understand the world I am living in and partly responsible for — the world which my children will inherit. This quest for understanding leads me to both new books and old ones. On my desk is a new one on real economics (not the type they teach in System schools), Jeff Booth’s The Price of Tomorrow, which promises to be every bit as rewarding and mind-expanding as Clifford Hugh Douglas’s Social Credit was to me (and to Ezra Pound) in that field. But today I am reading I Can Go Home Again by Arthur Gray Powell.

BACK IN 2019, National Vanguard published an article by Andrew Hamilton — “Political Outsiders Lack an Institutional Base” — about why Donald Trump completely failed to “drain the swamp” in his first term. The short version is that, in order to institute even the milquetoast kind of reforms of American “democracy” that Trump wanted, he needed a staff that would put the WW2 German General Staff to shame, a large portion of the judiciary on his side, support from most Congressmen and Senators, and a high- mid- and low-level bureaucracy that encompasses perhaps millions of people, who are on-board with his mission. And he didn’t have that. The “swamp” was so entrenched, and so unalterably committed to “corrupt business as usual,” that Trump simply couldn’t get much of anywhere. He was so isolated that he had almost no one to choose from to run his government except enemies. He also seemed to think, last term, that picking some of his enemies could move them into his orbit, which also was a total failure.

BACK IN 2019, National Vanguard published an article by Andrew Hamilton — “Political Outsiders Lack an Institutional Base” — about why Donald Trump completely failed to “drain the swamp” in his first term. The short version is that, in order to institute even the milquetoast kind of reforms of American “democracy” that Trump wanted, he needed a staff that would put the WW2 German General Staff to shame, a large portion of the judiciary on his side, support from most Congressmen and Senators, and a high- mid- and low-level bureaucracy that encompasses perhaps millions of people, who are on-board with his mission. And he didn’t have that. The “swamp” was so entrenched, and so unalterably committed to “corrupt business as usual,” that Trump simply couldn’t get much of anywhere. He was so isolated that he had almost no one to choose from to run his government except enemies. He also seemed to think, last term, that picking some of his enemies could move them into his orbit, which also was a total failure.

IT’S GETTING EASIER AND easier to get inside the head of Donald Trump, as he pursues what many view as a “shock and awe” policy of hundreds of new executive orders re-defining America in terms of what he calls a “common sense” agenda. Several of those new orders seek to reverse the march of governments in this country toward 100% support of transgenderism — that is, encouraging mostly troubled children and adults to attempt to change their sex, ultimately leading to chemical castration or the equivalent and mutilating surgery that prevents the victim from ever having children and carrying on his race. This, apparently, is too much even for openly gay-loving Trump. There’s a faction of more cautious Jews who care mostly about Israel and don’t want to “go too far, too fast” towards degeneracy and anti-Whiteness — not because they care about Whites any more than they care about Palestinians, but because they fear a backlash. So Trump is the best man to protect them and to give the White American sheep the false impression that they’re in charge again.

If you’ve been reading National Vanguard for more than a few years, you already know that the three holidays we have this time of year — 1) the Solstice; 2) the day that the modern world calls “Christmas” and I call by the much more ancient name of Yuletide; and 3) New Year’s Day — are all really the same ancient holiday. The dates have been spread apart by a little more than a week because of calendar drift, the fact that ancient measurements suggested the “Sun stood still” for several days, cultural amalgamation, and the simple human desire for separate or distinctive holidays for various and usually temporary purposes. Nevertheless, they are all essentially the same holiday, all ultimately deriving from the return of the Sun to Europe and environs, as it begins its upward arc toward the ancient Aryan homelands of the Northern Hemisphere. THE NEW YEAR is upon us. It inspires thoughts of where we’ve been, how we got there, and where we’re going.

1800 years ago, the Roman Emperor Aurelian first declared 25 December to be a state holiday, commemorating the Solstice — the rebirth of what he called Sol Invictus or “the Unconquerable Sun.” This is something that had long been sacred to Aryan peoples of many nations; Aurelian chose a specific date and made it official. He did this in hopes of establishing a new religious unity among Roman citizens.

If you’ve been reading National Vanguard for more than a few years, you already know that the three holidays we have this time of year — 1) the Solstice; 2) the day that the modern world calls “Christmas” and I call by the much more ancient name of Yuletide; and 3) New Year’s Day — are all really the same ancient holiday. The dates have been spread apart by a little more than a week because of calendar drift, the fact that ancient measurements suggested the “Sun stood still” for several days, cultural amalgamation, and the simple human desire for separate or distinctive holidays for various and usually temporary purposes. Nevertheless, they are all essentially the same holiday, all ultimately deriving from the return of the Sun to Europe and environs, as it begins its upward arc toward the ancient Aryan homelands of the Northern Hemisphere. We are a sky-focused and horizon-focused people.

THIS TIME OF YEAR, when the Sun ceases its fall and begins to rise again in the southern sky, is sacred to our people. We of European descent are all people of the North — Venice, Italy is further north than Minneapolis, Minnesota — and the fall and rise of the Sun in our December skies has always meant much to us.

Above my words in the text version of this broadcast is a haunting image of a stone circle built by our prehistoric kin near the very southern tip of Ireland over 3,000 years ago. It stands against a deep night sky filled with ten million stars, the huge mute stones glowing with a faint redness as if just touched by the Sun’s first dim rays on Solstice morning. It is the Drombeg stone circle. Across large swathes of Europe such stone structures still stand, part of what once must have been a much larger network of sacred sites. The Drombeg circle is not even the oldest of them.

IN 1983 I sat down to dinner w a man about whose life a feature film, The Order, is about to be released. His name was Robert J. Mathews. The event was Labor Day, 1983 National Alliance convention in Arlington, Virginia. Just an hour or so before our dinner, Bob Mathews had given a rousing speech at the convention

He got a standing ovation for that. I was there. In fact, I was the one who made the official recording of his speech, and every speech that day, on my reel-to-reel tape recorder. We later sold the recordings to members and the public on cassette. (You can still get a copy on an mp3-CD, in fact, at our Cosmotheist book store under the editorial title of “A Call to Arms.” The recording also includes Dr. Pierce’s later commentary on Mathews’ speech, too, written after his fiery death a little over a year after giving the speech.)
